Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation and the doorway to the whole Christian life.
Through water and the invocation of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we are freed from sin, reborn as children of God, united with Christ, and welcomed into his Body, the Church.
Baptism leaves a permanent spiritual mark. Received only once, its grace begins a lifelong journey of faith, worship, love, and service.
Baptism at St. Paul's
Follow these four steps. Fr. Wiesław will guide you through any questions or special circumstances.
Approach him directly after Sunday Mass and say that you would like to arrange a Baptism.
The child’s birth certificate, in any language, and the parents’ details.
Godparents are practising Catholics who will support the child’s life of faith. At least one godparent must attend the ceremony; if you are unsure who may serve, Fr. Wiesław will gladly explain the requirements and discuss your circumstances.
Baptisms normally take place during Sunday Mass, but another time can be arranged, especially when urgent.
